STEPS OF PROCEDURES:
1)
Buyer is presented with the FCO, SPOT Sales Contract.
Note: If Buyer requires a POP in the form of an SGS report before signing Contract, a $6/MT
charge must be wired to Seller account to have SGS conduct the quantity and quality inspection.
This amount shall be deducted from the total payment when the contract is signed and executed.
Skip this step if SGS is not needed at this time.
2)
Buyer signs and seals the Contract, and send hardcopies via courier ( DHL, FedEX, etc.) to Seller
offices. No money or funds yet. Seller countersigns Contract and by doing so, binds the company to
the provisions of the contract in delivering the agreed merchandise to the Buyer. Seller also issues
the 100% CPB to Buyer as part of the contract. Seller sends back the fully signed Contract to Buyer
by courier and/or electronic mail.
3)
Upon receipt of countersigned Contract, Buyer sends the Certified Cheque or Wire Transfer
(MT103) to Seller’s bank coordinates in exchange for Commercial Invoice and OBOL. If Payment
is in the form of DLC, it must be negotiable with Commercial Invoice only. Non-Transferable DLC
in favor of the Seller is acceptable. Seller alerts appropriate yard(s) and ships/barges.
4)
Seller presents document(s) required for payment (Commercial Invoice and OBOL for MT103,
Commercial only
for DLC.). Bank pays contract amount to Seller account. This activates 100% CPB into 100%
Seller’s Bank SBLC.
5)
Other documents (Certificate of Origin, etc.) will be sent to Buyer or buyer’s Bank AFTER
clearance of funds. Quality/quantity certificates (SGS,CCIC/CIQ) will be sent directly by inspectors
to Buyer at the same time. Shipment commences. For one time Spot Contract, it stops here.
See Step 6 if Spot Contract is rolled into Annual (Term, x12) Contract.
SPOT Rolled Into Annual Contract.
6)
Upon receipt by Buyer of all Shipment Documents in Step 5, and within 20 days after ship leaves
loading port for the 1st month Spot shipment, Buyer issues a revolving DLC for the 2nd to 12th
month. DLC negotiable with Commercial Invoice and OBOL . This action rolls the initial Spot into
an Annual term contract without up front deposit.
